Our Founder
The Congregation of the sisters of St. Charles Borromeo was founded by Rev. Fr. Adrien Brezy in 1684 in Wez-Belgium and established in India 1929 by Mother Josephine Allard. Rev. Fr. Adrian Brezy was moved to compassion towards the poor, the ignorant and the less fortunate of the society. He was deeply sensitive to the plight of the women and children who were deprived of their right to education. He wanted to impart Christian education specially to the poor and the marginalized of the society.
The Sisters of St. Charles, continue to make the ideal of their founder a living reality in the mission of education.
